In person, they are a beautiful purple with a very thin green stripe down the 'seam.' Sadly, they look exactly like worms....a comparison not helped by their wiggly nature. It was an experiment in Dad's garden - not at all expected to do well in a Missouri summer. However, our unusual weather this year has made them quite prolific. I'm still waiting to hear how they taste. The girls, naturally, found them to be hilarious.
