A Tough Day
Just wanted to let you know that our Princess is already home and is doing just fine. We took her to the Institute for Outpatient Surgery (fortunately, two minutes from home) at 6:30 this morning. The surgery started at 7:30 and was done by 7:53. We had her home by 9 - much to her relief.
Our doctor said that her tonsils and adenoids were gigantic, and they've opened up a lot of good room in her airway for her. In fact, we can already tell that her breathing has improved! (She's napping on the couch right now, and for literally the first time she's sleeping with her mouth closed. It's a bit eerie because I can't hear her sleep - another first.) We're expecting 5-7 days of recovery at home. Her doctor did say that he expected an easier recovery as her surgery was fairly simple.
Thanks to everyone for their prayers!
