Because I Love Him

It's done, and he's happy.

This sweater has been a wonderful experience, and I'm so happy to have officially completed my first fair isle sweater.  I foresee more to come!

OXO Fair Isle Crewneck
by Margaret Stuart (various publications)
Jamieson & Smith 2 ply jumper weight
(amounts and colors as per the instructions for the second largest size, with an extra skein of the darkest grey and an extra of the cream because I ran out, probably because of sleeve modifications)
Addi Turbo, US 1.5 (2.5 mm) and US 0 (2.0 mm) various lengths
August 6, 2014 - January 16, 2015 (knitting time......finish work completed February 6, 2015)

Modifications: There were some issues with the neckline portion of the pattern as odd bits had been inserted into the directions.  Once I figured out what was and wasn't supposed to be in there I followed the directions as written.  The sleeve shaping had to be altered because the original instructions were ridiculous.  I had to decrease every fourth row, doubling the number of decreases in the original pattern and working down to 80 stitches. Then added and extra repeat half repeat of the chart to get the length I needed.  Decreased to 76 for cuff.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably drop down a size....it's a bit baggier on Sean than I like, but he says it's comfortable and it looks good, so oh well!
