This Gives Me Hope
I was very happy to find this picture buried in the bottom of the trunk that houses my journals and mementos. I drew this when I was 14 in my freshman art class. You can still see the grid marks that I used, but even then it's not half bad for a kid who never drew outside of art class. By the time I created this I had long since decided that I didn't have any talent for drawing. Looking back, I'm not entirely sure why I believed that....but I did.
Hmmm....I think I need to draw something tonight....

I can't imagine why you thought you couldn't draw, either. The perspective on that, and the lively sense of motion, is a delight.

THanks for your kind words about my shawl. I hope you enjoy knitting it. I think it goes fast except for the middle Starlight Lace section. To knit that stitch pattern in the round using markers, you have to shift the markers on several different rounds, and that slows you down. However, for me anyway, markers are essential for "no tears" lace knitting. I would rather use markers than get lost and have to rip back.
