Visitors

The Green Woman spent all day with her nose pressed to the window, watching for birds. She and I are on a mission to document as many different visitors as we can spot. This is quite difficult, as our feeder is still relatively new and the birds relatively shy. Plus, we've not played with the super-zoom (mighty technical term!) much, and so we don't entirely know what we're doing. Nevertheless, we've gotten some good shots.

Nice shots! I find the chickadees , nuthatches, and titmice are especially fond of sunflower seeds and bread. I buy cheap wheat bread on sale at the supermarket and cut up a few slices every morning for them. The little juncos peck at the millet that the chickadees toss aside.

The woodpeckers go for suet. They come to the suet feeder all day long, esp. on snowy days.
