Something a Bit More Exciting Than Socks...Part 1

Maia Shoulderette
by Rosemary Hill (7 Small Shawls, Year 1)
2 skeins Madelintosh Tosh Sock in Mulled Wine
Size 6 matte brown beads
US 6 (4.0 mm) Addi Turbo circular needles
November 18, 2013 - January 3, 2014
Added one extra repeat to the body of the shawl

It's long been my favorite from 7 Small Shawls, but it took me a while to let go of the idea of the perfect green in favor of a yarn I already had in my stash.  Besides, I've already done one other from that book in green!  Yep, it's been done for a month...but in time-honored tradition I tossed it into a finishing basket where it sat stewing for quite a while.  I believe this one will be a keeper, although whether it winds up around my neck or around Gillian's is yet to be seen!

Beautiful! Both the shawl and your darling daughter. Maia has also been my favorite of the first 7. You've made me want to move it to the top of my list.
